Yes - A visa is required for travel to Lebanon

A valid passport and business visa are required to travel to Lebanon. Please note: entry not granted to passports showing Israeli visas or stamps.

Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank passport page available for visa stamp(s). Enclose a photo-copy of the passport pages containing the applicant's full name, photo, passport number, issue date, expiration date.

Lebanon Visa Application Form:

One completed and signed Lebanon visa application form. After placing your order, fill out the application form included in your Visa Application Kit.

Photo Requirements:

Two recent 2 x 2 passport type photographs in color, front view and with a plain/white background.


OR - you can upload a photo when you place your order, instead of providing physical passport photos.

Letter Of Invitation:

You must obtain a letter of invitation. The organization you will be visiting is responsible for obtaining the invitation. This letter must be written on company letterhead, include the full local address and phone number of the organization or person to be visited, request the same validity of visa as in the Business Introduction Letter, and specify the number of entries you are requesting for your visa.

Business Cover Letter:

Letter from employer or sponsoring company in the US, on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant's employment status/position held in the company, and clearly stating the purpose of visit in Lebanon. The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in Lebanon.

The Consulate of Lebanon requires an official business letter to support your application. To generate a Lebanon Business Cover Letter on-line, simply request this service and provide your information using the simple online form in your Visa Application Kit, which you will receive once you place your order.

Proof of State Residency:

You must provide a copy of your state-issued driver's license or ID, or a utility bill

Proof of Travel Arrangements:

Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket showing entry and departure from Lebanon.

Special Instructions:

Travelers holding passports that contain visas or entry/exit stamps for Israel may be refused entry into Lebanon. Travelers whose passports contain Israeli stamps or visas and who also hold an "Arab nationality" may face serious consequences and should not travel to Lebanon with a passport containing an Israeli stamp.

Los Angeles: Note that an existing Lebanese visa will be rendered invalid if the passport is subsequently stamped with an Israeli visa or seal.

Visa Validity:

Visas are usually valid for three months from the date of issue, based on the consulate's discretion.

Visa Processing Time:

Lebanon visas are usually processed by the Washington DC and Los Angeles jurisdictions in 4 working days or less. Processing time-frame in the New York jurisdiction can range from 3 days to 4 weeks based on the Lebanon Consulate's discretion. Rush and Emergency service may be available for additional fees.
