Yes - A visa is required for travel to Lebanon

A valid passport and tourist visa are required to visit Lebanon. Please note: entry not granted to passports showing Israeli visas or stamps.

Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank passport page available for visa stamp(s). Enclose a photo-copy of the passport pages containing the applicant's full name, photo, passport number, issue and expiration date.

Lebanon Visa Application Form:

One completed and signed Lebanon visa application form. After placing your order, fill out the application form included in your Visa Application Kit.

Photo Requirements:

Two recent, identical, 2 x 2 passport photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.


OR - you can upload a photo when you place your order, instead of providing physical passport photos.

Proof of State Residency:

You must provide a copy of your state-issued driver's license or ID or a utility bill.

Proof of Travel Arrangements:

Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket showing entry and departure from Lebanon.

Applicants Under the Age of 18:

One Parental consent form is required..A child (under 18) who is not traveling with both parents or a legal guardian must provide a notarized letter of consent signed by the non-accompanying parent(s) or guardian authorizing the Lebanese consulate to issue a visa to the minor. A copy of the child's birth certificate and guardianship or custody agreement documents are also required.

Letter of Employment :

An original letter of employment, certifying that the applicant is an employee of the company in good standing. The letter must indicate the dates for which leave was approved and the intended date of return to the company.

Residency Status:

Copy of US Permanent Resident Card or valid visa. US visa holders should have original I-94 or I-20 stapled to their passport.

Special Instructions:

Travelers holding passports that contain visas or entry/exit stamps for Israel may be refused entry into Lebanon. Travelers whose passports contain Israeli stamps or visas and who also hold an "Arab nationality" may face serious consequences and should not travel to Lebanon with a passport containing an Israeli stamp.

Los Angeles: Note that an existing Lebanese visa will be rendered invalid if the passport is subsequently stamped with an Israeli visa or seal.

Upon Arrival:

It may be possible to obtain your visa upon arrival. Visa requirements and restrictions vary greatly when obtaining an on arrival visa. The local immigration officials also hold the right to refuse entry to anyone for any reason. We strongly recommend that you obtain your visa prior to departure. Should you choose to obtain your visa upon arrival, you will need to inquire with your airline if boarding is allowed without a visa.

Visa Validity:

Visas are usually valid for three months from the date of issue, based on the consulate's discretion.

Visa Processing Time:

Lebanon visas are usually processed by the Washington DC and Los Angeles jurisdictions in 4 working days or less. Processing time-frame in the New York jurisdiction can range from 3 days to 4 weeks based on the Lebanon Consulate's discretion. Rush and Emergency service may be available for additional fees.
